The trend colour for 2017 is green. Pantone's Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute Leatrice Eiseman says "Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalise, Greenery symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose". We could not agree more. Green is a soothing and natural colour that not only reminds us of nature but also makes us feel connected to the earth.
We have recently added Zepel Fabrics to our range of upholstery options. The above image to the left and right is a sample of those fabrics (we have so many more in store). In the middle is our genuine leather Green Silva.
The Block judge, Darren Palmer "Darker pieces of furniture are on the rise again – we will see plenty of richer and darker tones in 2017. I’m talking side tables, coffee tables, cabinets or consoles. Green is also coming in and these rich dark green colours work perfectly with the dark timbers, as well as making a space feel calming and decadent.”
Boy oh boy. This is definitely a trend for us. One of our most popular synthetic leathers is the dark green colour paired with dark wood Partner Desks and Office Chairs. You don't have to limit yourself to the home office either to use this earthy colour combination. Our heavy carved lounges and armchairs look fabulous with patterned green fabric and a dark wood finish. We recently had a custom order for a convertible poker/dining table pictured below. The winning colour combination speaks for itself.
Tones inspired by metal, stars and clouds are on the rise. Think of beautiful silver leaf finishes, sheer and floating fabrics and shimmery upholstery.
Bedhead trends have drifted away from timber to beautiful luxurious upholstered sleepy time deliciousness. We knew our clients had exquisite taste and our Upholstered Bedheads have only gained more popularity in 2017. The picture below is a beautiful example of the metal and stars inspired trend paired with an upholstered bedhead.
We encourage our clients to send us images of their beautiful Antique Reproduction Furniture in their homes. We love to see how people have styled their pieces because not only are they amazing but they also inspire us. In 2017 we have started to see a rising trend in taxidermy as part of the decor. We love it! Below are too very different styles from this years interior trends (metallic finishes and dark woods) but what really sets these pieces apart is the taxidermy birds.
